Splendour of garden art north of the Alps
This spectacular tour visits four best preserved historical towns of Austria and Czech Republic. Vienna gained its importance under Habsburgs who moved their seat from Prague to Vienna at the beginning of 18th century. Prague has several smaller gardens packed around Prague castle while Vienna´s large gardens of Belvedere and Schönbrunn are grandiose and built outside the city center. These two famous cities frame the garden tour that explores the most famous gardens of Austria and Czech Republic that belong to the best of their kind north of the Alps.
Besides several UNESCO listed towns and formal gardens you will have a chance to enjoy a few privately owned modern gardens that were founded during Communism as an answer to no traveling possibilities.
Since many of the former gardens were turned into parks during period of Romanticism we do not avoid these and again sample some of the best found along our route.
An ideally designed holiday with little amount of walking and great hotels explores the gardens with leisure and under expert guiding of local garden art specialist.
